Permission and register

Permission as Honorar-Finanzanlagenberaterlicensed fee-only investment adviser under §34h Abs. 1 S. 1 GewO, granted by the Industrie- und Handelskammer für Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Oberhausen zu Essen (Am Waldthausenpark 2, 45127 Essen), which is also the register authority. Entered in the Vermittlerregister (DIHK, Breite Straße 29, 10178 Berlin, www.vermittlerregister.info) under the number D-H-122-V2X1-49. A separate permission as Versicherungsmaklerinsurance broker under §34d Abs. 1 GewO is entered under D-UOEU-COJEI-34. Both entries can be checked there free of charge.

What the advice covers

Investment advice within the meaning of §34h GewO on units or shares in open-ended investment funds (domestic, EU and foreign funds that may be marketed under the Kapitalanlagegesetzbuch; §34f Abs. 1 S. 1 Nr. 1 GewO). That is the whole scope of the §34h permission. Not covered on this site: a personal recommendation to keep, change or cancel an insurance contract (including Riester, Rürup, company pension and private pension insurance), which is insurance advice under its own permission; your tax return; legal advice. For pension and health-insurance contracts the Decision Document shows both sides and the decision is yours.

How the adviser is paid

Fee-only. The fee for a Decision package is a fixed price agreed before the engagement and paid by you. The adviser accepts no commission, no kickback and no other benefit from product providers or anyone else for the advice; where a benefit cannot be avoided, it is passed on to you without delay. If property becomes relevant, a separate property partner may act for you; that partner is paid by commission, typically 3% of the purchase price, and tells you how much and who pays before you sign.

Complaints and dispute resolution
